Welcome to Greek Life. By accessing or using the Greek Life mobile application and website (greeklife.org) (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a current or prospective member of a fraternity or sorority chapter at an accredited college or university to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update your information as necessary. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or promotes discrimination
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Create multiple accounts or impersonate another person
- Use the Service to collect information about other users without their consent
- Share your account credentials with others
4. Payments and Dues
Certain features of the Service involve payment processing for chapter dues, fees, and other charges. By subscribing to payment plans or paying fees through the Service:
- You authorize Greek Life and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your designated payment method
- You agree to pay all fees and charges incurred under your account
- Subscription payments are recurring and will continue until cancelled by you or your chapter
- Refunds are subject to your chapter's refund policy as managed by chapter officers
- You acknowledge that payment processing fees may apply
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you post through the Service (messages, comments, images). By posting content, you grant Greek Life a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content as necessary to provide the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you post and represent that you have the right to share it.
6. Chapter Administration
Chapter officers have administrative privileges within their organization, including the ability to manage members, create events, initiate votes, and configure chapter settings. Greek Life is not responsible for decisions made by chapter officers using these tools.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by Greek Life and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the Service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Greek Life shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
